  • Anna Zakletska-Burak took part in a public discussion with Xavier Solana -

    Leading experts on foreign policy and security - former Deputy Secretary of State of the USA and President of the Brookings Institution Strobe Talbott and former High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union (1999-2009) and Secretary General of NATO (1995-1999) Javier Solana – visited Kyiv on 31 March 2010. These leading international policy makers participated in public debates organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

  • Anna Zakletska-Burak represented Ukraine on “Young Leaders Meeting” in Germany -

    Anna Zakletska-Burak, the Vice-President of the Ukrainian Youth SOBOR in charge of the external relations, represented the organization on the annual “Young Leaders Meeting”, held on the 15th – 18th of October in Aachen, Germany.

  • The “EXPRESS OF SMILES” has started in Kiev -

    On the 30th of March pupils of Kiev school №2 launched into the space almost 200 smiles. The school children drew their smiles on the multicolored balloons and set them free synchronously after the call “One, two, three, set your smile free!”. The action, organized by the Kiev City Organization of the Ukrainian Youth SOBOR got the name “The Express of Smiles”.

  • Dmytro Masliak was elected as the UYS attorney for external relations -

    The UYS presidium member Dmytro Masliak was elected as an attorney of the Youth Sobor for external relations. The relevant resolution was passed by the organizations presidium. Therefore now Dmytro Masliak is obliged to establish and supervise relations with international organizations and funds and to reinforce interaction with them.

  • With assistance of Kyiv municipal organization of UYS in Kyiv there took place a fashion show in ethnic style -

    On Friday, February 13, in the Museum of the Ukrainian folk decorative art (in the territory of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra) there took place a theatricalized fashion show The Feast is Coming! The collection included 24 stylized clothes with bright ethnic elements and futuristic trends reminding the creative works of Maria Pryimachenko. All works were prepared by the students of M. Boychuk State Institute of Decorative Applied Arts and Design of Kyiv. «The clothes created by these students deserves being presented at the fashion weeks. It is remarkable for its expressed ethnic motives combine with modern femininity», says the production director of this show, scriptwriter Anna Zakletska.

The UYS presidium member Dmytro Masliak was elected as an attorney of the Youth Sobor for external relations. The relevant resolution was passed by the organizations presidium. Therefore now Dmytro Masliak is obliged to establish and supervise relations with international organizations and funds and to reinforce interaction with them.

«That’s a great responsibility. The Ukrainian Youth Sobor has long been working internationally, and we’ve got lots of friendly organizations abroad. We’ve become the members of the European Liberal Youth union (LYMEC) we cooperate with the International Federation of Liberal Youth, Westminster Fund for Democracy, Youth Movement of the Welsh Party, and Belarus Association of Young Politicians. I’m facing a challenging task of not only preserving and expanding the cooperation with them but also of establishing relations with new organizations with which we’ll be able to realize new joint projects», noted Dmytro Masliak. 

Dmytro Masliak was born on April 19, 1986 in Ivano-Frankivsk in the family of journalists. From 1993 to 2003 he’s been obtaining secondary education in Ivano-Frankivsk general educational school No. 19. In 2003 he entered Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Law, Economics and Construction, the Department of Architecture. He was elected as the chairman of the Students’ Parliament. In 2006 he obtained the diploma certificate with honors with qualification of an architect. In 2006 he entered the Kyiv University of Advertising, the Department of Design, and graduated from the same in 2008 with the diploma certificate with honours with major in Environmental Design.

Simultaneously with studying (2006-2008) he’s been working as an architect in the design organization YUMI (Uvano-Frankivsk). Since 2008 he’s been working as a chief architect of construction hypermarkets LLc Epicenter K.

In November 2003 he was elected as a chairman of Ivano-Frankivsk municipal organization PYPO Ukrainian Youth Sobor. Since April 2004 he’s been a member of the Ukrainian Republican Party Sobor, a board member of Ivano-Frankivsk municipal organization of the party. In 2005 he became the deputy chairman of Ivano-Frankivsk municipal organization of Sobor.

Since July 2005 he’s been the member of the Central Board of PYPO Ukrainian Youth Sobor. In 2008 he was elected as a member of the presidium of the Central Board. By commission of the central statutory authorities of UYS he’s been the supervisor of the Volyn, Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regional organizations of the Youth Sobor.
