  • Anna Zakletska-Burak took part in a public discussion with Xavier Solana -

    Leading experts on foreign policy and security - former Deputy Secretary of State of the USA and President of the Brookings Institution Strobe Talbott and former High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union (1999-2009) and Secretary General of NATO (1995-1999) Javier Solana – visited Kyiv on 31 March 2010. These leading international policy makers participated in public debates organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

  • Anna Zakletska-Burak represented Ukraine on “Young Leaders Meeting” in Germany -

    Anna Zakletska-Burak, the Vice-President of the Ukrainian Youth SOBOR in charge of the external relations, represented the organization on the annual “Young Leaders Meeting”, held on the 15th – 18th of October in Aachen, Germany.

  • The “EXPRESS OF SMILES” has started in Kiev -

    On the 30th of March pupils of Kiev school №2 launched into the space almost 200 smiles. The school children drew their smiles on the multicolored balloons and set them free synchronously after the call “One, two, three, set your smile free!”. The action, organized by the Kiev City Organization of the Ukrainian Youth SOBOR got the name “The Express of Smiles”.

  • Dmytro Masliak was elected as the UYS attorney for external relations -

    The UYS presidium member Dmytro Masliak was elected as an attorney of the Youth Sobor for external relations. The relevant resolution was passed by the organizations presidium. Therefore now Dmytro Masliak is obliged to establish and supervise relations with international organizations and funds and to reinforce interaction with them.

  • With assistance of Kyiv municipal organization of UYS in Kyiv there took place a fashion show in ethnic style -

    On Friday, February 13, in the Museum of the Ukrainian folk decorative art (in the territory of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra) there took place a theatricalized fashion show The Feast is Coming! The collection included 24 stylized clothes with bright ethnic elements and futuristic trends reminding the creative works of Maria Pryimachenko. All works were prepared by the students of M. Boychuk State Institute of Decorative Applied Arts and Design of Kyiv. «The clothes created by these students deserves being presented at the fashion weeks. It is remarkable for its expressed ethnic motives combine with modern femininity», says the production director of this show, scriptwriter Anna Zakletska.

Anna Zakletska, deputy chairman

She was born in 1984 in Kyiv. She started obtaining education in Obolon district of Kyiv. In 2001 she graduated from the specialized school with profound learning of the English language with honors No. 211, and in 1999 she graduated from Music School No. 37, the piano class. In 2001 she became a student of the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and graduated from the same in 2005 with the diploma certificate of the Bachelor in Political Studies. In 2005 and 2006 she attended the Master’s course Taras Shevchenko National University, the Department of Philosophy, with major in Political Studies. For the time being Anna is the student of Kyiv gestalt-institute where she obtains the education of a therapists in psychology.

Since three years old she’s been engaged in classic and folk choreography and singing, she obtained lots of awards in culture and arts. Since 1996 for the time being she’s been participating in various mass events as an anchorwoman, director and scriptwriter.

Since 2000 she’s been engaged with international youth politics, taking an active part in the International Youth Conferences, summer schools, and seminars of various activity directions. Since 2001 she’s been the member of the organizational committee of the International Youth Forum in five European countries: 2001 (Holland), 2003, 2004 (Germany), 2005 (France); director of the International Youth Project Youth Chooses Democracy, 2006 (Ukraine). In 2005 and 2006 she worked as a journalist. 

On September 27, 2007 she was elected as a deputy chairman of the Youth Sobor. She’s authorized to develop external relations by the presidium of the Central board of PPO UYS. By commission of the central statutory authorities of UYS she’s been the supervisor of Zaporizhzhya and Cherkasy regional organizations of the Youth Sobor.
